How can I register for WEC?
Due to vaccination requirements associated with attending this year’s event, we strongly encourage you to register ahead of time. The WEC San Francisco website provides online registration 24/7.
How will I know that I am registered?
All registered attendees will receive a confirmation by email (please check your junk/spam folder). This information is your receipt and verifies the event(s) and/or additional fee sessions for which you have signed up, and how much you have paid. If you have questions regarding your registration, please contact WECreg@mpi.org.
What are the Refund/Cancellation/Substitution Policies?
Payment
Payment of registration and event fees must be made within 30 days of registration to avoid cancellation.
Event Cancellation by MPI
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If MPI cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, MPI has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. MPI will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of an event.
Registration Cancellations
Deadline to cancel your WEC registration and get a partial refund is Friday, May 27. Cancellations must be received by the stated cancellation deadline and will be accepted in writing only. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Cancellation fees of up to $200 will be deducted from the registration fee. No shows for the event will not receive a refund. All refund requests must be made by the registered attendee or credit card holder and include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used, no later than (30) days after cancellation has been approved. Please send written cancellations to wecreg@mpi.org .
NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND:
- Membership fees associated with New Membership Bundles
- Rendezvous Tickets
- Discount or special promotion codes are only available on new registrations, refunds are not available to any existing registrations
Travel Restrictions
In the event that travel restrictions are imposed in the country where the registrant is traveling from, that prohibits the in-person attendance of WEC, MPI will work with you to put the value of registration toward an event or product of equal value.
Substitution Policy
Substitution of registration (same type: member/non-member) is permitted prior to June 1, 2022. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant with written consent. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact/demographic information. Please email substitution requests to wecreg@mpi.org .
How can I book a hotel?
MPI has partnered with a number of hotels for WEC. To see what the discounted nightly rate is for each hotel, go to our Hotel page. In order to book a book, you must first be registered for WEC. Once you register, you will receive the link to book your hotel in your confirmation email.
How will I receive my badge?
When you arrive at Moscone West and check-in at a self-service kiosk or at the registration counter, you will receive your badge. Please note that a photo ID will be required to pick up badges/materials. Badges or other official WEC identification must be worn to all official WEC events.
I have a question about partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising.
You can review the MPI Sponsorship Opportunities Prospectus for all of the available opportunities. Please contact Bernard Schraer (bschraer@mpi.org) if you are interested in sponsorship and/or advertising opportunities.
Duty of Care
While COVID-19 will remain with us for the foreseeable future, we are now better positioned to live with the virus in ways that it does not have to upend our lives. Vaccines and treatments aimed at preventing severe illness in people at higher risk and testing are widely available. We will be guided by the data and science on the public health decisions we make moving forward.
We aim to implement the less restrictive COVID-19 measures within our local context that keep our communities safe and preserve lives, and continue to prioritize our COVID-19 resources, including vaccinations, testing, and masks, to highly impacted communities.
Following the city and state recommendations and starting on April 1, MPI will not require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test to enter Moscone West.
