Javier Jara stays true to his Latin American roots, interpreting popular rhythms such as Caribbean nueva trova, bolero, cueca, nueva canción, among others. Based in Austin, Texas, Javier has played in several world music festivals, cultural centers and many venues around Austin. Currently, he is a recipient of LAAP (Latino Artist Access Program) at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
